Businesses, Government Offices To Close Early Due To Tropical Storm Bret

Businesses and government offices will close early on Thursday, June 22, 2023, as Saint Lucia braces for the passage of Tropical Storm Bret.

Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre announced the early closures in an address to the nation on Wednesday night.

He said all businesses and government offices would close from 1:00 pm and the Island’s two airports from 10:30 am.

Schools will also close on Thursday until further notice.

But the school closures will not affect students writing the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) on Thursday morning.

And the Prime Minister disclosed that he will chair a National Emergency Management Advisory Committee (NEMAC) meeting on Thursday at 9:00 am.

ALL business will and should be closed at 1;00pm ALL but km2 supervisors will tell people it is business as usual and should wait on a directive from management smh like as if they dont hear there is a storm approaching and its like you still have to leave work at the normal time. I hope yall getting taxi for people to drop them at their home and boats when it starts to flood
