Press Release:– The Soufriere Regional Development Foundation (S.R.D.F) completed a three-week supply distribution initiative over this past weekend, culminating on June 14th, 2020.

The organization sought to alleviate the plight faced by many community residents experiencing income loss and the challenge of having to make the basic provision of essential needs for their families.

The hamper packages which included ground provisions and groceries completed with toiletries were distributed through the length and breadth of the community, from Bouton in the northern outskirts to the more southern areas of Belfond, Fond Gens Libre and Chateau Belair.

“It is the mandate of the SRDF to assist with the socioeconomic wellbeing of the residents of Soufriere. The organization’s thrust was to lend support to those who are genuinely in need and underprivileged, especially given the added adverse economic distress from COVID– 19,” said General Manager of the organization, Mr. Franklin Solomon.
