Driver Pronounced Dead After Minibus Crash In Micoud

A minibus driver died after his vehicle ran off the road in Micoud on Friday.

Emergency responders from the Micoud fire station said they received a distress call at about 12:45 pm and rushed to the scene, where they found the driver unresponsive.

A medical practitioner at St. Jude Hospital later pronounced the accident victim dead.

Earlier in the day, a twenty-three-year-old man died, and a female believed to be in her late teens was in stable condition after a vehicle accident at Choc.

Police identified the deceased as Sherwin Charlemagne of Rock Hall, Castries.

He was the driver of the vehicle.

According to reports, a grey Mitsubishi overturned after slamming into a utility pole at about 1:50 am.
