The death of Sherwin ‘Drizzy’ Charlemagne has ‘saddened’ Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre, who described the demise of the 23-year-old as untimely.
“This morning I learnt of the untimely death of Sherwin ‘Drizzy’ Charlemagne, a tragedy to his family and friends, who are also my friends and constituents,” the Castries East MP wrote on Facebook on Friday.
“Many of you would have known Drizzy as one of the artistes behind the song ‘Clap for Your Birthday/Happy Birthday,’ which I last sang to celebrate a colleague at the recently concluded CARICOM Heads of Government in February,” Pierre stated.
“I am saddened that you won’t get to participate in the Youth Economy. You supported its vision from my days as Opposition Leader,” the Prime Minister observed.
Rock Hall, Castries resident ‘Drizzy’ died, and a female believed to be in her late teens was in stable condition after a vehicle accident at Choc in the wee hours of Friday morning.
The deceased was the driver of the vehicle.
According to reports, a grey Mitsubishi overturned after slamming into a utility pole at about 1:50 am.

“Many of you would have known Drizzy as one of the artistes behind the song ‘Clap for Your Birthday/Happy Birthday,’ which I last sang to celebrate a colleague at the recently concluded CARICOM Heads of Government in February,” Pierre stated.
Which I last sang to celebrate a colleague at the recently concluded CARICOM Heads of Government in February,” Pierre stated. WTF, lmao
I hated that stupid song so much, and to hear my country’s PM saying he sang this…sans hort.
Not because it’s local, means majority gives a azz about it! Sorry to the young man’s family but eventhough that song was popular, it is pure nonsense like alot of the other nonsense we put on the airwaves today.
@Straight…NO!!! Pierre is only saddened because he sang the song or played it for his colleague…Pierre cares about that & his BMW.
You all what Mr. Pierre to be saddened by the crimes you all are committing to make the country look bad. You all will be angry for a very long time. Haters cannot be healed.
