Scooter Rider Injured In Collision With Car In Castries

A scooter rider was in stable condition at the OKEU Hospital after a collision with a car on the John Compton Highway on Wednesday.

The incident occurred near Lazarus Funeral Home.

Emergency personnel from the Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) headquarters in Castries rushed to the scene with a fire truck, and an ambulance from the Babonneau fire station joined them after learning of the collision at about 11:04 am.

The 27-year-old scooter rider sustained abrasions on his right forearm and was complaining of pain in the lower back.

The responders provided emergency care before transporting him to the Hospital.

  1. Glad the scooter rider wasn’t seriously hurt…Umm anyone knows the model of scooter? Looking for parts for my scooter T Maxx.

  2. It’s time that the Police start charging these guys for the way the ride publicly. That goes for all riders! There are actually laws for driving and riding on the main roads, and the majority of the laws are NOT adhered to.
