de Caires Backs Trump To End Ukraine War

National Green Party (NGP) Leader and community activist Andre “Pancho” de Caires has reacted to the reelection of Donald Trump as United States President.

The 45th and now 47th President defeated Democratic opponent Kamala Harris in Tuesday’s election by 69 electoral votes, placing him back in control of the world’s largest economy and the most advanced and globally powerful military.

“It was no surprise to me that Mr. Trump won, I actually won a bet. I do a lot of research, I follow a lot of politics from all over the country,” de Caires said in an interview with St. Lucia Times. “In different podcasts, I saw a shift in tone by the average American, so months ago I felt that the tide was definitely turning, and he did it. I believe that the Democrats’ vote agenda was too far left for the moderate Republican and the moderate Democrats.”

Among the key talking points for de Caires and the Green Party movement is the elimination of war globally.

Green parties worldwide are known for their anti-war stances and appeals for international peace talks. The local activist has faith that Trump’s approach to negotiation and his team can help with the war in Ukraine, but he is doubtful about the war in Gaza.

“What I do like about Trump is that he went and spoke to (North Korean President) Kim Jong-un, while the Democrats don’t want to speak. There must be communication at that level. We need to work out our differences at the table, looking at each other’s eyes, finding out what the problem is and working it out together. We’re in 2025 coming up, and we still behave like cavemen. There’s no need for war. War just fills the pockets of the military-industrial complexes worldwide. The people don’t want war. It’s the politicians who want war. The people want peace.

There is a lady called Tulsi Gabbard, she was a senator, she was with Bernie Sanders, and then she went on her own. She was a Democrat, she left the Democratic Party, and she is definitely anti-war in Ukraine. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was also anti-war, anti-foreign wars, and expansionists. Both of them are anti-war when it comes to Ukraine. They believe that the billions of dollars spent on Ukraine should have been spent on America and alleviating American suffering. It’s over a hundred billion dollars they’ve given to Ukraine. I believe they will be influential in the way that we negotiate, at least with how America negotiates with its enemies. Regarding Kim Jong-un and the Taiwan-China issue, I believe Mr. Trump may be able to negotiate some deals. As for the war in Gaza, both parties support the Zionist agenda of the Netanyahu regime, and both parties would fund Israel and Israel’s war machine against the helpless people in Gaza and the West Bank. I know both RFK and Tulsi Gabbard still support the Israeli regime. So I believe the wars in Ukraine will stop. I believe the war in Gaza will let Mr. Netanyahu continue the mass siege.”

Breaking down the reasons he believes President-elect Trump emerged victorious, de Caires stated the following:

“I think the COVID experience where a lot of people lost a lot, things that they worked for their whole life, lost a lot of businesses… We looked at the abortion issue, and it didn’t play because if you look at the results, it didn’t matter. Women still voted for Trump overwhelmingly.”

  1. Time will tell Mr. De Caires, time will tell. We will see how things goes with an unpredictable showman leading the largest economy once again. A couple points I would like folks to do some research on:

    1. When did Trump start his Trade War with China? And when did the covid pandemic start?
    2. What was the US inflation rate before Trump got into office in January 2017?
    3. What was the US unemployment rate before and after Obama got into office?
    4. What was the US unemployment rate before and after Trump got into office?

The only point you repeated that makes sense is that Kamala was too left with her campaign but at least she was honest in her approach. Mr. De Caires is a strange man, it sounds like he supports a man who does not support any of the things he supports, environmental protections and legalization of marijuana.

  2. Concerned about a country that thinks it supposed to lead the world while they have an imbalance in their Supreme Court 6to3 in favor of a political party which shouldn’t be if they up hold the laws of the land but are leaning,I my opinion any one who supposed to up hold the laws of any land needs to be voided from being affiliated with any political parties to be sure there’s zero nepotism

  3. @ Oh Really, you sound more like the leader of the Green Party than the guy who is posing as the leader. IS De Caires aware that Russia invaded Ukraine and that it can stop the war whenever necessary? We must educate ourselves before commenting on serious issues. For example, Tulsi Gabbard was never a senator but a former US Representative for Hawaii’s 2nd congressional district from 2013 to 2021. She was NEVER with Bernie Sanders instead she ran in the 2020 Democratic presidential primaries. She left the Democratic Party in October 2022 to become an independent before joining the Republican Party in 2024. Similarly, JFK Jr. was an anti-vaxxer who left the Democratic Party because of his preposterous claims about vaccines and his wild support for conspiracy theories. He ran as an independent in some states but chose to endorse Trump in the 2024 elections. So De Caires needs to know those things before he comments on the US elections which he seems to have limited knowledge about. The sad thing is that De Caires supports Trump without knowing anything about him. All he does is repeat Trump’s talking points. Finally, Trump won the elections because the people believed his lies. It has nothing to do with Harris going too left.

  4. @Ras Biko,

A lot of folks repeat trump/republican racist and ridiculous talking points without even realising it. Most of what they repeat is easily debunked. I’m not saying Kamala lost only because of the leftist ideas but that was part of it. I’m never against the rights of any person but the main worry for most Americans was inflation and the economy. I just hope these same Americans can affoard anything after trump implements his tariffs and makes it easier for his billionaire buddies to take advantage of the average citizen. I’ve said this before, I want trump to implement ever single demented idea he has in his little brain so people can feel the error of their ways.

  5. @de Caires & @Oh Really:
-what part of Kamala’s & the Dems’ policies & election campaigning were too far left? Why have none of you defined what you mean by “left”?

@Ras Biko: Clearly, you are suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome. You offer no reasons for why Kamala should be voted in. Instead, you contend that voters were gullible, and swayed by unspecified Trump lies.

@Oh Really – finally, correctly concedes the point that Americans voted for their economic interests, but does not connect the dots that it was the Biden misadministration who caused their economic woes by sanctioning a third of the world & placing high tariffs on goods from the ASEAN bloc which accounts for 50% of their total imports. How stupid is that? The Biden misadministration has been exacting economic torture on the US working class for 4 years, & like you , is trying to scare them about potential worsening under Trump. As it turned out, the US working class wasn’t having any of that, and punished the Democrats instead!

Here is how two eminent US economists accurately analyzed the reason for the Kamala debacle:

And here is an accurate assessment of 2024 selections from alternative media, featuring a political analyst and his guest:

My great fear is that St. Lucians have not matured politically, and since their political involvement only reaches the level of “monkey see, monkey do”, they will continue as they have done in the past: gullibly play the game of political musical chairs run every 5 years between UWP & SLP. Then when the music stops, they will have empowered whichever of their political abusers pays them off with the biggest blocko & the most chicken and rum – mee breadex!

  6. @Oh Really & @Ras Biko: I looked really hard, and I am yet to see anywhere in the article where it “sounds” or seems that de Caires supports Trump; but unlike you, I don’t fog up my mind with delusions!

  7. Encouragement is a good idea in this ideal word..
When we love we are at peace !!!!
May there be ‘peace ‘ between the two countries…
