Police have identified the victim of Sunday’s fatal shooting in Castries as 43-year-old Vernon Auguste alias ‘Fat Dog’ of Bois Patat.
At about 11:30 am, CID officers responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of Waterworks and Cedars and discovered a male individual lying on the ground with apparent gunshot wounds.
Residents of the area said they heard rapid gunfire before the discovery of the body.
Vernon Auguste’s fatal shooting has taken the homicide tally in Saint Lucia so far this year to seventy-three.
