BodyHoliday collabs with SLSA to support holistic development

The Saint Lucia Sports Academy (SLSA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BodyHoliday to support the holistic development of its students. The agreement was officially finalised on Tuesday at the BodyHoliday property in Cap Estate.

BodyHoliday is a Saint Lucian-owned and operated wellness hotel. As part of this agreement, the institution will leverage its in-house wellness expertise to provide a series of educational and experiential initiatives throughout the year, helping student-athletes reach their full potential. These initiatives will focus on healthcare, nutrition, performance, injury prevention, and personal development, while also exposing students to career opportunities within the wellness and hospitality industries.

The signing day marked the first of these initiatives. Students were taken on an official guided tour of the wellness facilities, which served as a significant learning experience for everyone involved.

Speaking on the significance of the partnership, Anthony Lamontagne, programme director at SLSA, revealed that this is the latest step in a relationship between BodyHoliday and the Academy that has been blossoming over the years.

“The Saint Lucia Sports Academy was prepared with the idea of nurturing and providing an enriched environment for students—student athletes—to grow and develop and reach their maximum potential. The Saint Lucia Sports Academy continues to be an unpolished gem, if we do understand. One of the major institutions, BodyHoliday, has stepped up and has attempted to polish this gem in a number of ways over the past few years…. We’re very grateful for this opportunity, undoubtedly.”

General Manager at BodyHoliday, Yhasmine Remy-Hylton, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, noting that it aligns perfectly with the resort’s core mission.

“BodyHoliday’s purpose is to change people’s lives, one person at a time, and how we do this is by delivering the gift of wellness to the world. We think it’s a gift, and we think that it is our obligation and it is our passion to ensure that we spread it as far and wide as we can,” she said.

“Today is a very happy day for us here at BodyHoliday, that we’re finally able to, not just kick off, because we started this relationship a little while back, but it gives us an opportunity to formalise it, to see some of the faces behind the signage, behind the school, and it makes us really happy. Welcome to the family of BodyHoliday. “
