$20,000 Bail For Monchy Man Accused Of Shackling Daughter

A  Monchy, Gros Islet man accused of shackling his daughter has been granted bail in the sum of $20,000 cash or suitable surety, the police say.

Law enforcement officials have identified the accused as Hector Deterville and disclosed that the court ordered that he not leave the country without the state’s permission and appear once a week at the Gros Islet Police station.

The matter has been adjourned to August 11, 2021.

According to the police, Hector Deterville was charged with false imprisonment for restraining his daughter with shackles on July 8, 2021.
