The Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS), has reported receiving reports of five stabbings between Friday September 11, 2015 and Sunday, September 13, 2015.
According to the SLFS, on Friday at about 5:35 PM, Emergency Responders were summoned to Manoel Street where a physical assault had taken place, resulting in a 44 year old male sustaining multiple stab wounds.
According to officials, the man was transported to hospital via ambulance.
On Saturday, September 12, 2015, Emergency Responders transported another man to hospital at about midnight, after he was stabbed on Micoud Street.
On Sunday, September 13 at about 12:20 AM, it is reported that a physical assault took place on St Louis street in which a thirty year old male received multiple stab wounds and had to be transported to hospital via ambulance.
There were also two other stabbing incidents resulting in injuries to male individuals.
A Fire Service official told the Times that between Friday and today, the Saint Lucia Fire Service received a total of 62 ambulance calls.
Eight of the calls were in relation to motor vehicle accidents.
