The United Workers Party will be officially kicking off the second edition of its orange campaign this coming Thursday from 7pm at the Cacoa Playing Field in Babonneau.
In March of this year , the United Workers Party attracted thousands of St. Lucians to participate in a peaceful protest march in the city against the high cost of fuel. This time around, the United Workers Party is calling on all St. Lucians to march against the failed policies of the Labour Party and for the immediate increase in School subsidies by EC$3 Million dollars.
In addition to that, the UWP is also calling on the government to postpone the implementation of the vehicle license increase as well as to make allowance to support the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College and thereby, making tertiary education accessible to many more St. Lucians.
There will be a series of public meetings which will ultimately lead up to a major march in the city in the coming weeks.
