Castries, 14 September, 2015 – In a show of corporate social responsibility and giving back to its customers who continuously support its business, KFC recently concluded it’s first ever Back to School promotion amid much excitement and jubilation.
The contest saw much participation as it was geared towards both adults and students alike with a thumb drive offered with the meal combo and the rewards for the children bundled with all kids’ meals.
The company also topped off the promotion by offering a touch screen HP Laptop as it wanted to provide one grand prize which is an essential and integral part of learning, especially in preparation for back to school.
This back to school promotion, although the first of its kind for KFC, is only one activity that the company engages in while trying to reach out to various communities to give back. During the summer vacation, the company participated in the Jus’ Sail Youth Programme and will be hosting the Commercial League Basketball Games this September.
KFC has also been a true and consistent supporter of Cutty Ranks and his community Outreach project which seeks to provide haircuts for students who are less fortunate.
The company also provides much need assistance to the Cerebral Palsy Association and uses its recently launched KFC St Lucia App to heighten the public’s awareness on the various causes that it supports and how persons can get involved and contribute.
The winner of the grand prize in this year’s back to school promotion was Sera Gordon who made her purchase at KFC Choc on August 15, 2015.
