Love Elevated Wedding Symposium begins

(SAINT LUCIA) -The program has been finalized and all is set for this year’s Saint Lucia Love Elevated Wedding Symposium slated for September 23rd to 27th.

An ‘all white’ “Jack and Jill Bridal Shower” will serve as the official welcome reception at Pigeon Island National Landmark on Thursday September 24th. An exhibition for delegates will be opened on Friday September 25th along with the official opening of the Wedding Symposium by Director of Tourism Louis Lewis.

Presentations will be made by Alison Theodore of the St Lucia Tourist Board on “10 Reasons to Book a Destination Wedding in Saint Lucia”. Alan Berg, Leading Expert on the Business of Weddings and Events will host a seminar entitle “Angry Brides – Protecting Your Online Reputation”.

A real bride who married in Saint Lucia in 2015 will tell her story followed by another seminar this time on “Social Media to enhance destination weddings & increase sales”.

It will be presented by Andrea McDowell and Rebecca Baldwin, of Among the other presenters will be Michelle Myers, Publisher and CRO from Brides Magazine and David Beahm, the Celebrity Guest Speaker. His topic is “Surviving a Destination Wedding”.

The delegates will visit wedding location sites and also attend a Wedding Rehearsal Dinner – “Amidst the Ruins” at Pigeon Island National Landmark. A Local Wedding Supplier Exhibition and Roundtable Sessions have been planned for Saturday, September 26th.

Visits are also scheduled to wedding locations in the south and areas west including Ladera, Anse Chastanet, Jade Mountain, Sugar Beach and Boucan. This year’s Mock Wedding and Reception will take place aboard the Pearl Tall ship.

The final day of the symposium will take delegates to an “East Coast Wedding Frolic’ and “Hangover Breakfast Teaser” at Fond D’ Or National Park.

There is also a “Last Lap”at La Tille Waterfalls followed by Coconut Bay’s “Platinum & Pearl Coconut Bay” wedding packages. Delegates will then head to the airport for departure.
