Rumours of her death have been greatly exaggerated, as Journalist Cecile Actille is very much alive and well.
An upbeat Actille told the Times in an interview from her New Village home that she was aware of the rumors about her demise, and believed that they were started by someone bent on mischief.
She disclosed that she had been ill for the past five months with a thyroid gland problem that required her hospitalization.
“While I was in hospital people were saying that I had AIDS, I had cancer and that I was on drugs, but these things are not true,” Actille, who spent some 12 years in Journalism, starting out at the Crusader and then moving to DBS Television until recently, disclosed.
She said she wanted to thank her well wishers who called with encouraging words and visited her during her period of illness.
Actille also told the Times that she was on the mend.
