Argentine Embassy hosts luncheon for Ambassadors

On the second day of October 2015, a luncheon for Ambassadors and Heads of Missions accredited in St. Lucia, organized by the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Saint Lucia, took place at the Auberge Seraphine Hotel.

In attendance were the Ambassadors of Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Morocco, the Charge d’Affaires of Venezuela, and the direction of the OECS (Director General – Dr Didacus Jules; Director of International Relations, H.E. Ambassador Anthony Severin, and the International Relations Officer, Mrs. Bernadette Auguste). Also in attendance was a representative of the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) in the person of Mr. Kervin Stephenson, IICA Regional Project Specialist.

The special guest speaker was Mr. Hippolyte Eustace Vitalis, non-resident Ambassador of Saint Lucia to ALBA-Petrocaribe, who presented an excellent update on these regional bodies. In the question and answer period, an interesting exchange of views was generated.

Lunch was accompanied by Argentine wines and a tasting of mate tea and caramel. To conclude the meeting a short film about the transformation of the Plaza de Mayo/Argentinean Government House, which occurred in the last two centuries was presented.
