UWP galvanizes support for planned protest march

Supporters of the opposition United Workers Party (UWP), members of the party and Executive officials, will be making their way to Micoud North this evening, to listen to what the party calls one of the most exciting public meetings preceding the opposition march planned for Thursday, October 22, 2015.

The march is scheduled to begin from 5PM from the Vigie playing field.

The public meeting tonight in Micoud will be held next to the Riverbank Bar.

According to a UWP release, executive members of the party will articulate the “horrendous effects” of the ruling Saint Lucia Labour Party on the economy and people of Saint Lucia.

“The UWP political leader, Allen Chastanet, Deputy political leader and Micoud North MP, Doctor Gale Rigobert, and other speakers will expose the grave failings of the Saint Lucia Labour Party and the reason why all Saint Lucians should take to the streets this coming Thursday,” the opposition statement said.
