Hospitality and professionalism training for boaters

The Ministry of Tourism, Heritage and Creative Industries is cognizant of the strategic opportunities within the marine-based sector. The marine-based sector has demonstrated significant capacity to contribute to the country’s economic development. The Ministry has therefore developed several initiatives to promote the growth and viability of this sector.

As part of the development of those initiatives, the Ministry has scheduled a hospitality and professionalism training programme for boaters who operate at strategic locations such as Ganters Bay, IGY Marina, Marigot Marina and Soufriere that will be held on Friday, October, 23, 2015 from 10:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m. at Saint James Morgan Bay Resort.

Participants of this training programme will be introduced to subject areas such as customer service and professionalism, deportment and the importance of self-grooming. This training programme will be facilitated by Mrs. Geraldine Lendor-Gabriel from the Celestine Self Development Center who not only possesses extensive business experience in areas relevant to this training but has a good understanding of the tourism industry.
