The driver of a government school bus who is suspected of having been selling marijuana to students, was arrested on Friday for drug possession and subsequently released, well informed sources have told the Times.
According to information, the arrest was made at about 1:30 PM on Friday, October 23, on the compound of the Leon Hess Comprehensive Secondary school.
Sources told the Times the bus driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time.
Police are reported to have found seven clear plastic bags containing plant material at the back of the bus.
However according to information reaching the Times, the driver, who hails from Monchy, denied any knowledge of the find, claiming that someone else had obviously put the drugs on the vehicle.
It is reported that on the basis of the man’s denial and the obvious inability of the Police to conclusively pin the drug find on him, the man was released the following day on Saturday, October 24, 2015.
