A ninety-seven year old woman is suspected to have been the victim of rape at her home in Mon Repos, reliable sources have told the Times.
According to reports, the woman, who lives alone, was discovered at her home this morning by relatives.
She is reported to have been taken to St Jude Hospital and discharged.
Reliable sources have told the Times that the home where the woman lived was burglarized, with the intruders making off with, among other things, a television set.
The latest incident adds to a string of sexual assaults that have occurred in the country over the past few weeks, including the gang rape of two teenage girls in the North of the Island.
