A secret audio recording obtained by the Times purports to indicate that the leader of the opposition United Workers Party, UWP, Allen Chastanet, will not work with his challenger for the leadership of the party, Sarah Flood-Beaubrun, if she is elected at the helm of the party.
Party faithful will elect a leader for the UWP at a convention on Sunday.
In the audio recording, a woman’s voice is heard asking someone who sounds very much like Chastanet whether he is prepared to work with Flood-Beaubrun.

Contacted for a comment, Chastanet told the Times he was not aware of what the recording contained, and does not know what he said that he needs to answer for.
