Priest reiterates anti-abortion position in the wake of reported rapes

Catholic Priest, Linus Clovis, has reiterated the pro-life stand of the Catholic Church, against the backdrop of a recent series of reported rapes including the violation of a ninety-seven year old woman from Mon Repos.

Explaining the stand, Clovis, who is the Spiritual Director of Population Research Institute and Family Life International, indicated that aborting a child in a case of rape would be tantamount to punishing the child for the sins of the father.

According to him : “Does that make sense?”

“We have to remember that the moment that a person is conceived we are talking about a person, a human being, just that the human being is very small,” Clovis asserted.

He felt that what was needed in cases of rape was support for the female who has been violated.

“ We give her first of all, the emotional support, the social support and if necessary, the financial support and help her to heal,” Clovis, who is also the Director of the Secretariat for Family and Life in the Archdiocese of Castries stated.

He said to kill the child is to add another violation to what the woman has already suffered.

“Abortion is not something like pulling out a tooth, because you are touching the very heart of motherhood itself,” he declared.

Fr Clovis is commenting on the very Judeo Christian Ethos that made western Society so great. It is the abandonment of that very sense of decency that has so badly affected our black societies and made us poorer with less jobs and less wealth. Until we accept the whole ethos of decency including the life of a child we will always be backward and declining as in the past 50 years when we became liberal nations.

Oh yes that great Judeo Christian ethos that made them enslave and murder people all over the world?

      Get real!

What made western society ‘great’ was YOUR blood, sweat and tears, for which you have yet to see a wage! You are still blinded to believe your masters are superior in morality. Did you know the first slave ship was called Jesus?

Pull the wool off from over your eyes, the Western world has been nothing but a scourge and parasite to this planet and all the people of color on it.

Black people are not ‘backwards’ because of this but because their culture, dignity and sense of self hood has been continuously violated by the European. Do you know of the great flourishing civilizations in Africa, before European invasion? Do you know that the black African is the originator of religion, science, astronomy, medicine, language, electricity and civilization itself?

The RC Church is the last bastion on male chavernists.

So lets pressure the woman who has been violated.
Yet NOT ONE WORD AGAINST the man who has done the raping!!!

Priest or layman… homme pas famile femme.

I agree with you 100% . If the church will support the women through pregnancy, feed, clothe, educate, care for and not molest these children, then they can do this. By far, poorer women are more likely to be the victims of rape. One of the main ways they can get out of poverty is by controlling when and with whom they have children. The church is taking away that power. I tell you, if men could have babies, contraception would be a sacrament. You would take it weekly like communion.
