CASTRIES, St. Lucia, November 17th 2015 – The Trade Export Promotion Agency (TEPA) in collaboration with the St. Lucia Manufacturers Association (SMA) presents a training workshop on Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) facilitated by the St. Lucia Bureau of Standards (SLBS).
The objectives of the training workshop are:
- To expose participants to the principles of HACCP and increase awareness and understanding of the concepts in developing the HACCP System;
- To provide participants with the knowledge and skills required for implementing a HACCP System
This workshop will be over two days November 17 and 18 and will be conducted from 9am-4:30pm at the Conference room of the SLBS at Bisee. The training will include PowerPoint presentations, discussions and group activities.
Certificates of Participation will be awarded to all participants who complete both days of training and a workshop evaluation will be sought via survey feedback form to be completed by participants at the end of the training session.
This workshop is in keeping with TEPA’s mandate and aims to build capacity within our manufacturing sector by preparing our exporters and potential exporters for markets which have very stringent rules, regulations and standards especially for products which are to be consumed by humans and even animals.
