The Saint Lucia Fire Service, SLFS, this morning responded to reports of a fire at the CIBC Bank on Bridge Street.
“We received a call this morning; a gentleman working at CICB building informing us that there was a possible fire and upon arrival we noticed that there was smoke in the building, “Fire Service spokesman, Shane Felix, told the Times.
According to Felix, who was on the scene at the time, Fire Officers were unable to determine where the smoke was coming from until the Bank officials came in.
Felix made it clear that he was not going to divulge information concerning where exactly the smoke was coming from, but he did disclose that the Fire Service made recommendations in relation to resolving the issue.
He said no damage was done as a result of the incident which occurred at about 11:41AM today.
