WIPA mourns the passing of Charran Singh

KINGSTON, Jamaica: The executive and members of the West Indies Players’ Association (WIPA) wish to extend their condolences to the family and friends on the passing of former West Indies and Trinidad and Tobago spinner Charran Kamkaran Singh.

Mr Singh was left-arm orthodox spinner who played 2 tests for the West Indies and picked up 11 wickets. On debut for Trinidad and Tobago he took 5 for 57, the first in his three 5 wicket haul in an innings for his country.

WIPA’s President and CEO Wavell Hinds on learning of Mr Singh’s passing said. “I am saddened by this news and wish to express my sincerest condolences to his family and friends and to the Trinidad and Tobago and West Indian cricket community.”
