In less than one week the Saint Lucia National Trust (SLNT) will host its 39th Annual General Meeting at the Belle Vue Human Resource Development Centre in Vieux Fort. The AGM which is slated for Saturday, December 5th will start promptly at 1 p.m. and will be graced by the Trust’s Patron, the Governor General of Saint Lucia, Her Excellency Dame Pearlette Louisy.
According to SLNT’s Communications and Advocacy Officer, Karetta Crooks Charles, members are encouraged to attend as the meeting provides an update of our conservation projects over the last year and our plans for 2016. Furthermore, all financial members get the opportunity to elect the next Council which will guide the affairs of the Trust.
In light of the ongoing Climate Change Conference in Paris there will be an interesting presentation on Climate Change and its Impact on our Natural and Built Heritage. Also on the agenda are presentations from the various SLNT Chapters on island and a presentation of our financial statements.
