The St Lucia Teachers’ Credit Cooperative celebrated financial Information month in the month of October.
The theme for the month was adopted from the ECCB -LEAD-Learn, Empower, Achieve, Develop.
Many cooperate entities – including LIME, Digicel, LUCELEC, Coco Palm, Auberge Seraphine, Touch Therapies- teamed with the SLTCC in sponsoring prizes for some of the activities
Among the many activities planned was an essay competition for members 16 years and under.
The essay topic was on the theme LEAD-Learn, Empower, Achieve, Develop
Chyenne Quinlan a form 5 student of the St Joseph’s Convent received the first place prize- a smart phone
Rae-Yanne Preville a form 3 student of the St Lucia SDA Academy received the second prize- a tablet which was sponsored by The St Lucia Electricity Services Ltd (LUCELEC)
The individual who assisted each student was awarded a cash prize.
The month’s activities were well received by the members as they provided information and skills and reiterated the values, mission and vision of the SLTCC
