Ezechiel Joseph resigns from the Senate

Ezechiel Joseph, former Minister of Agriculture and former MP for Babonneau has resigned from the Senate.

In an exclusive interview with the Times, Joseph confirmed the resignation and said that it will take effect from December 31, 2015.

He is currently overseas.

However the former Minister told the Times that he expects to be back home by tomorrow to attend the last sitting of the Senate for the year.

“We discussed it as a party and since I have had a national profile in the parliament and then in the Senate, we want to give someone else that profile,” Joseph disclosed, adding that the opposition United Workers Party (UWP) wants to give some of its endorsed candidates some exposure.
