The MP for Micoud North, Doctor Gale Rigobert, has expressed deep concern about intermittent power shortages over the past few hours tonight, Wednesday December 23, 2015, in parts of her constituency and parts of Micoud South.
Rigobert told the Times that last evening the community suffered the same fate.
However she observed that tonight’s power outages seem more severe.
The Micoud North MP said she has since made contact with Engineers of the Saint Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) and has been advised that they aware of the problem.
She revealed that the engineers are working hard to resolve it.
The Micoud North MP has called on residents to exercise due caution.
Rigobert has also thanked residents for their patience while they await the full restoration electrical power.
She disclosed that there have been fluctuations in power and people are concerned about their electrical appliances and the possible spoilage of food they have bought in preparation for Christmas.
