Murder suspect, Melissa Joseph, appeared in court at Gros Islet this morning, charged with the murder of Joseph Herman.
The girlfriend of the deceased, Jacky Robert, told reporters gathered outside the court room that she wants justice for the deceased.
Robert felt that justice would be served if the female murder suspect were sentenced to life imprisonment.
She reiterated that she was afraid for her life since the men who had accompanied Joseph in attacking her boyfriend on Jeremie Street on Old Year’s night, were still on the loose.
“I know Melissa’s boyfriend who was one involved in the fight very well, and he is out there,” Robert disclosed.
Robert’s Aunt, Flora Verneuil, observed that the other attackers had been seen in Castries eating, drinking and smoking as if they had no care in the world.
Verneuil expressed concern that they had not been held by the Police.
“I need justice for my niece and her two children, because now she has become both mother and father to them,” she declared.
