Suspected drowning at Esperance beach

The Marine Police this afternoon dispatched one of its vessels to Esperance beach in the North of the Island, to investigate reports of a suspected drowning.

The vessel was dispatched at about 2:30 PM in response to reports that a man, identified as Alexander Marcellin, aka Zanda, had disappeared while fishing for whelks.

According to reports, the missing man is from Monchy.

Information reaching the Times indicated that Gros Islet Police and an ambulance are currently on the scene.
