Applications for the post of Commissioner of Police have been rejected and the post will be re-advertised, the Times has been reliably informed.
Both front runners, current Acting Police Commissioner, Errol Alexander and Director of Corrections, Vern Guard, have received letters informing them that their bids for the post have been denied, it is reported.
According to information, the rejection of the applications follow a court hearing yesterday in which a senior Police Officer sought judicial review of the process.
However, the information could not be independently confirmed.
The Times has been reliably informed that the post of Police Commissioner will be re-advertised as early as next week.
