NWU and SLASPA continue talks

Negotiations between the Management of St. Lucia Air & Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA) and the National Workers Union (NWU) continued today January 20, 2016 at the Conference Room of the company.

The negotiations are being conducted on behalf of monthly and fortnightly paid employees who are represented by the National Workers Union. Talks have been progressing smoothly with both sides being able to reach agreement on a number of crucial fringe benefits.

The NWU will be holding a meeting with its members shortly to bring them up to date on the progress being made. The Leadership of the NWU is also expected to seek a new mandate from these members.

Both sides have agreed to make every effort to bring closure to these negotiations quickly.
