A Bagatelle man in his fifties, identified as Paul St Rose, was found in a pool of blood at his home this morning.
The discovery was made by the man’s nephew, Josiah St Rose.
According to the nephew, when he passed by his uncle’s Bagatelle home at about 3:AM this morning, he realized that the door was open and the lights were on.
He disclosed that upon further investigation he realized that his uncle was sitting on his step in the rain.
“I was wondering if he was drunk, so I decided to put on the light on my phone and I saw that he was covered in blood,” St Rose said.
He recalled that his uncle was not moving.
St Rose said he decided to follow the trail of blood which led back into the house, leading him to conclude that the deceased had been stabbed inside his home.
The sister of the deceased told the Times that her brother lived with their mother who recently passed away and since then, has been living on his own.
Rosemary Alphonse recalled that her brother has in the past spoken of having “enemies” and at one point requested that a small building near his home be pulled down because criminals were making it their haunt.
Alphonse also said that her brother always wanted lights on.
However she stated that her brother was not a violent person.
