Sea Jays engage in community outreach

Sea Jays Swim Club gathered Sunday January 31st to help feed 50 Canaries Infant and Primary School students. The Teachers of the School selected 50 of the less fortunate, and students who were well deserving of the treat.

With assistance from The Sandals Foundation, Coco Palm Hotel and parents, the swimmers enjoyed serving and having lunch, providing clothing and hampers to the students. The highlight of the day was the enjoyment of intermingling with the students and playing fun games.

Club President Eldris Mauricette articulated how pleased she was to have been part of the activity.

The teachers also expressed their grateful for the gesture.

The goal of the Sea Jays Swim club in 2016 is to not only train its swimmers to the highest level but to also give back to less fortunate in whatever way possible.

The Club thanks its sponsors and parents who assisted in making the venture an absolute success.
