Roadwork on the Millennium Highway which have been ongoing for the past five days was nearing completion today, and was due to wrap up at the end of the day.
Engineering Assistant in the Ministry of Infrastructure, Vaughan Edwin, told the Times that the work involved resurfacing about 60 metres of road leading to the first tunnel when heading in the direction of Cul de Sac.
Edwin disclosed that portions of the road had developed potholes.
The work on the highway resulted in some inconvenience to motorists, as one side of the carriageway was closed to traffic.
Edwin said that the work should have been completed today, with possibly some follow up work tomorrow, Thursday, February 4, 2016.
