Boundary disputes seminar

The St. Lucia Institute of Surveyors (ISSL) in association with the UK based Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) will be on Wednesday 24th February 2016 hold a one (1) day session on the topic “Boundary Disputes and Neighbourly Problems” in the Conference Room of the Royal by Rex Resorts, Reduit, Gros Islet beginning at 3:00 p.m.

The session will be conducted by Mr. David Powel – FRICS, a Chartered Surveyor and Boundary Demarcation Expert based in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Tedburt Theobalds, Vice President of the ISSL, said that the presentation would cover pertinent areas and will explain how to handle property disputes; managing expectations in boundary disputes; the limitations of deed plans and surveyors’ measurements; internal (part-wall) boundaries; long standing boundary features that may differ to deeds; liason between surveyors and lawyers; giving evidence in court, and marking-out a boundary.
