NWU hosts skill workshop

Approximately forty (40) rank and file members from twenty (28) branches of the National Workers Union (NWU) will meet at the Calabash Suite Conference Room of the St. James’s Club Morgan Bay at Choc Bay, Gros Islet on Wednesday March 2, 2016.

These members will participate in a One day Trade Union Workshop which will focus on skill development in Grievance Handling.

The Shop Stewards and Assistants will be exposed to a practical approach in handling grievances in the workplace from the point of occurrence at domestic level to conciliation then to mediation and all the way through to the Tribunal.

It is expected that participants will be better prepared and empowered to deal with the initial stages of grievance handling and would have developed a better understanding of the other stages in the process.
