Castries, March 7, 2016 – St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC)’s administrative offices at Sans Souci will be closed for the remainder of this week (March 8-11, 2016). The closure is necessary to facilitate urgent maintenance at that office.
LUCELEC’s Managing Director Trevor Louisy says the move was necessary as staff have been experiencing some discomfort with the air quality in some parts of the Company’s main administrative building.
“We did some remedial work at the office this past weekend but it did not yield the desired results. Therefore, out of an abundance of caution for the wellbeing of our staff and customers we have shut down the building so that a more thorough and detailed analysis and resolution of the problem can be found,” says Mr Louisy.
He noted that the closure of the office at Sans Souci will not affect the quality and reliability of the electricity supply.
In the meantime, the company has taken steps to ensure customers are not unduly inconvenienced. LUCELEC’s offices in Rodney Bay, Soufriere and Vieux Fort remain open and are available to serve the public. The Company advises that bill payments can also be made at Sure Pay outlets or via the financial institutions that offer that service. An automated service for customers to get their latest bill balance may be accessed by dialling 457-4433.
LUCELEC regrets any inconvenience caused to its customers and thanks them for their understanding.
