SLP Welcomes John Victorin for Anse la Raye/Canaries

Former Youth of the Year, John Victorin is the Saint Lucia Labour Party’s candidate for Anse La Raye/Canaries.

Victorin who is a Former Manager at the National Skills Development Centre, has a long history of community service both nationally and in the Constituency of Anse La Raye/Canaries. Victorin has been credited with the success and creation of many community groups and initiatives.

Victorin currently serves as the chairman of the Board of Directors of the West Coast Credit Union, a position he has held since 2009. He is also the Deputy Chairman of the National Lotteries Authority and a Board Member of the Windward Islands Lotteries Incorporated.

A community man at heart, Victorin has served as President of the Canaries Youth and Sports Council, Councilor and Chair of the Canaries Village Council, President of the Canaries Improvement Committee, President of the Canaries Community Club, Programmes Manager of the National Youth Council (NYC) and General Secretary of the Saint Lucia Football Association, to name a few.

His passion for service and dedication to the development of others has also led to Victorin serving on National Boards such as the Basic Needs Trust Fund and the Poverty Reduction Fund.

John Victorin has spent all of his life in service to the people of his home village, Canaries and its environs. His entry into politics, he says, is solely for the purpose of service to the people. He intends to deliver quality representation to the people of Anse La Raye/Canaries and will seek and provide opportunities for growth and development of the constituency as a whole.

According to Victorin, at the heart of his plans and policies will be the voice of his constituents, with special focus on the youth and the less fortunate. He intends to continue to spend time in his constituency in the coming weeks to share his vision and embrace that of those who share an equal passion for the advancement of the people of Anse La Raye/Canaries.
