Juliana Mathurin, the mother of sixteen year old Abigale Lucien who was the victim in an attack video, has told the Times that she will not give up in seeking justice for her daughter.
Mathurin’s daughter was attacked recently by two females with the incident being videotaped and posted on the internet.
The incident occurred at Palmiste, Soufriere.
Today when the matter came up in the Soufriere court for the second time, it was adjourned until April 27, 2016.
“I know that’s the system so I don’t worry myself,” Mathurin told the Times, adding that she does not intend to quit.
She disclosed that her daughter, who attended the Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary school is okay now.
Two teenagers, Perclyn Joseph, 18, and Shaneika Andrew, 19, were jointly charged with the assault on Abigale Lucien, who was seen receiving kicks and punches in the attack video, while a crowd stood by and watched.
