If the RBC / St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce Event Coordinators were ever concerned that the response would have been meagre to an All-Female panel discussion, their fears were completely alleviated.
The International Women’s Day Panel Discussion held on Thursday March 10th 2016 was a major success with scores of women turning out to the Women’s Day Activity.
The Forum was immensely interactive from the onset. Networking commenced from the get-go though that segment was scheduled to conclude the afternoon’s activity.
The ideas, perspectives and suggested solutions provided by the participating women were limitless and refreshing. Thecla Deterville- Moderator, Entrepreneur and holder of the OECS Franchise for the internationally recognized Franklin Covey Leadership Development and Training Programs, ensured that the forum was cohesive and remained on course.
This was a great achievement considering the breadth of discussions which could easily have sprouted, and the expertise and enthusiasm of the women who had assembled in recognition of the International Women’s Day Pledge for Parity –How Can We Lead In A Changing Environment Forum.
The All- Female Panel was well balanced in terms of both sectoral background and experience. The Panelists were : Mandissa Morisson – Shoe Rehab, Myreen Cenac- Desirous , Pauline Wolff- Ezone, Juliana Ward Destang- Splash Island Water Park, Natalie Glitzern- Augustin – Glitzenhirn Augustin & Co., Kricia Dolcy- Independent Luxury Consultant Global Wealth Trade.
The Chamber continues to collaborate with its members and the wider Business Community in hosting discussions and activities on topical issues and areas of concern and works towards Making it Easier to do Business in St. Lucia.
