SDA to host night of prayer for curbing suicides

The occurrence of, and the attempts at suicide in the state of Saint Lucia should be a major religious and social concern to the nation, and most certainly, it is to the Saint Lucia Mission of Seventh-day Adventists.

In the past many months, there has been a rising trend in the number of suicide cases in the country, which has been quite alarming to the leaders of the Adventists church in Saint Lucia and as a direct consequence, efforts are underway to introduce suicide prevention programming to curb the trend in our beautiful motherland.

In an effort to reverse the current trend the Prayer Ministries Department of the Mission under the leadership of the Prayer Coordinator, Miss Rose Mary Desir, have designated Friday night, March 18, 2016, as a special night of prayer to agonize with God, our heavenly Father to help our country with the suicide problem and other problems.  We also want to give thanks for His blessings especially for the recent rains during this period of drought.

The entire nation is invited to join us on Prayz FM Radio Station, (98.5 or 92.5. or on the World Wide Web “”) between the hours of 7:00 p.m. to Midnight.  A blessing is in store for Saint Lucia.
