Banker endorsed as UWP candidate

Banker, Bradley Felix, has been endorsed as the United Workers Party (UWP) candidate to contest the Choiseul/Saltibus constituency, reliable sources have told the Times.

According to information, the banker was confirmed at a meeting of the UWP’s National Council last night.

Bradley Felix will be seeking to unseat current MP, Lorne Theophilus, at the next polls.

The endorsement comes on the heels of former UWP MP for Choiseul/Saltibus, Rufus Bousquet, declaring that he will contest the seat as an Independent at the next general elections.

Bousquet, who is the Chairman of the Constituency group, in a recent interview with the Times had been critical of UWP leader, Allen Chastanet, suggesting that he is an autocrat.

He also indicated if persons are not absolutely loyal to the UWP leader, they do not stand a chance of becoming party candidates.

In addition to banker Bradley Felix, the UWP’s National Council last night also endorsed Fortuna Belrose to contest the Castries East seat.
