Lotto players, Vincent Edgar and Hanna Charlery, today received cheques totaling four hundred and forty thousand dollars in what the Saint Lucia National Lottery (SLN) has described as a historic payout.
Charlery received two hundred and forty thousand dollars, while Edgar got two hundred thousand dollars.
The SLN said they won back to back prizes in the Super Six lotto play in the first week of March.
The lotto draw is held every Tuesday and Friday.
However the SLN has said that it is not aware that players have ever won during consecutive draws.
Edgar disclosed that on the day in question he had bought thirty three tickets.
Charlery for her part said she was excited and overwhelmed.
“For a moment I though the numbers were wrong but I double checked once twice three times,” she said.
