The father of Babonneau deceased, Elijah Monlouis, also referred to as Dean Edwards, has said that he last saw his son on Monday afternoon.
“He said he wanted to wash his clothing so I give him money to see about himself,” Joseph Monlouis recalled.
Monlouis said since the discovery of the body of the Babonneau deceased, he has been hearing reports that the young man had received death threats.
He disclosed that had he known about the threats prior to the death of Edward, he would have acted on them.
Monlouis said the Babonneau deceased, shown below in a 2002 photo, was his last child.
“He was living with me and he has his own way so he was at his Mother,” the father explained.
Responding to reports that two men are currently in police custody in connection with the homicide, Monlouis asserted that the suspects were about the same age as the Bebonneau deceased, who is in his early twenties.
“They grew up in the area together I don’t see how something could lead to murder,” he said.
The body of Elijah Nathan Monlouis was discovered this morning buried near bushes by his home at Plateau, Babonneau.
