DTEMS Students visit Bordelais prison

March 31st, 2016– The students’ council attached to the Division of Technical Education and Management Studies (DTEMS) at the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College (SALCC) toured the Bordelais Correctional Facility today.

The educational tour was organized by the DTEMS Students’ Council to help students of the college understand the role of the Bordelais Correctional Facility in our society and also understand various career opportunities that are available at the facility.

“This educational tour,” Nyhymn Terrance, the President of the DTEMS Students’ Council noted “…is an excellent opportunity to expose students to career pathways in our prison. This project is also in line with the “Youth #FULLPotential project the Saint Lucia National Youth Council and the Saint Lucia National Students’ Council are doing—exposing students to various career pathways and enlighten them on how to get there.”
