Seven year old in ICU after attack

A seven year old resident of Babonneau is reported to be in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Victoria Hospital, after allegedly being attacked by another boy, aged fifteen.

The matter is currently the subject of a police investigation.

It is alleged that the fifteen year old made an indecent proposal to the seven year old, who promised to report the matter to his mother.

Reliable sources told the Times that in an apparent bid to prevent the younger boy from so doing, the teenager attacked the seven year old with a piece of wood.

The seven year old sustained serious head injuries, it is reported.

Our children are being raised in homes where God’s name is not called upon….St.Lucia is becoming a Godless nation hence the increase in crime at all levels. Politicians can’t fix the problems we are faced with. Only God can and that’s where we need to put our trust…not in man because they constantly fail us…let’s keep our eyes heaven ward

I’m sorry for this occurence. The 15 year old needs to learn to control his emotions, sexual and angry. May the child get a speedy recovery. It’s ridiculous to cast blame on one person for all crime, violence, accidents, evil, mishaps in a community. I didn’t know she was that powerful? To cause a wide range fo ppl to commit evil?! hmmm wow. I don’t have the answers to reduce the occurrences but I want to let you know that you are special, valuable and worthy of life. Bad situations and days will come, but they won’t last. STay strong. Be positive, Raise your children to love, be respectful, self controlled. We can’t save the world. We can’t control others. We can do our small parts. Bless Up!

As far as I’m concern Alvina is a well born Christian. She’s a strong church going person being involved in youth groups, choir etc. So why blame her. It all have to do with the way the kids leave their life. I wont even say the way parents raise their kids because most parents raise their kids to the best of their abilities and hence they take the wrong path. So please lucians lets stand together and lend a helping hand with each other and stop that back and forth

It’s sad that people always look for a scapegoat when things go bad. No polition can stop crime. We need to raise our children in the fear of the Lord. We need to teach them to respect people’s rights and freedom and not enabling them in their folly that when they get caught or killed the common song sang is he was a good boy. It pains me to hear of this situation . Speedy recovery to the young child and i hope this 15 yr old gets some kind of counselling and rehabilitation. Sad, sad situation.

Its not just politicians to blame. Its saint Lucia’s society on a whole. From the parents and older siblings at home to the neighbors to the school teachers and faculty to every one in society. We as a nation are failing our future generation. No one has respect for law or each. And by law I don’t only mean police, every saint Lucian believes they have a right to get away with doing whatever they want. We need God but God helps those who help themselves.
