The irate Aunt of a seven year old who was allegedly attacked by a teenager in Babonneau recently, is demanding justice for the alleged victim.
Lisetta Monrose has said that she is at pains to determine why the police have not yet made an arrest in the case.
Monrose said the alleged victim, who had to be rushed to the Intensive Care Unit (PCU) of Victoria Hospital after the attack is recovering.
“He can eat a little food but not much because he cannot really chew on the side where he got the knock,” the Aunt explained.
The irate Aunt said the boy received a number of stitches to the head and continues to complain of headaches.
Nevertheless, despite the child’s condition, Monrose stated that the boy is able to walk about a little.
“What I want right now is justice for my nephew. I do not know why the police have not made an arrest yet. I am just waiting on them to make an arrest because right now my nephew any time from now they might discharge him,” Monrose declared.
She vowed that she will not allow the matter to rest, since she feels the police should arrest the fifteen year old who allegedly launched the attack and question him about the recent incident.
She complained that while her injured nephew has to be away from school, the alleged assailant is able to attend classes.
“He is not supposed to be leaving his house to go anywhere,” Monrose asserted.
According to her, the family of the alleged assailant are casting doubts on the testimony of her nephew who identified his attacker by name.
However she said the seven year old alleged victim is not “retarded.”
“He told the Doctors and the police who did that to him,” Monrose asserted.
It is alleged that the fifteen year old made an indecent proposal to the seven year old, who reported the matter to his mother.
The teenager is subsequently reported to have attacked the boy with a piece of wood, inflicting multiple injuries.
