Pregnant 11 year old to sit Common Entrance

A pregnant eleven year old from the community of Micoud will have an opportunity to sit the Common Entrance examination, Education Minister, Doctor Robert Lewis has disclosed.

“We must not terminate the child’s education in any way,” Lewis told reporters.

He said while his Ministry would leave the issues pertaining to the pregnancy to the Department of Human Services and the police, it is supportive of the child.

“We want the child and the parents to know that we as a ministry discussed it,” Lewis said.

He explained that he could not say what the exact arrangements will be, but asserted that he was almost certain that there will be a special arrangement for her.

The grade six student allegedly admitted to having sex with a seventeen year old.

Sometimes doe matter how good a parent may treat their child, they may still go the wrong way, so sometimes the parent are not to be blamed

I hear alot of individuals make remarks about this situation playing the blame game. It is what it is . The child is already pregnant. Playing the blame game won’t help the situation in anyway. Instead of condemning n making this child and her family miserable, we shud be supportive and accept the mistake she made. Let God make the judgements because he sees and knows it all unlike everyone else from outside looking in.

Well the job is already done, if the mother spoke to her, letting her know what will be if, and if not, and she went the other way, that’s up to her, but let us keep her in ours prayers, because pray changes things.

If I’m honest the situation is messed up, however I understand the reasoning behind allowing the girl to sit her exams. No point in setting her up to b an uneducated mother. There is the option of adoption. It’s a mistake that shouldnt have happened , however there are two children in this situation. The unborn child n the one carrying another. I can’t blame anyone . No1 knows what went on behind closed doors.

Oh my God at the ignorant comments blaming the mother blaming the little girl for being raped . What is wrong with you people in society? The girl is 11 or 10 this is statutory rape not a mistake on her part. Whether the mother was there or not it is still raped . Perhaps a mistake on that 17 year old but not the child. Your are making her the guilty one she and her family and pretending that the boy is not at fault he is a damn rapist.
