Columbian Navy ship to visit

The training ship of the Navy of Columbia named ARC Gloria will visit the Port of Castries in Saint Lucia, as part of a training cruise.

It will arrive on April 29th at 9 am and will dock at the “Pointe Seraphine Pier 2”.

It will remain in port until May 2nd, 2016. As a token of friendship between Saint Lucia and Columbia, it will open for public tours in general on 30th April and 1st May from 9 am to 5 pm, so are invited to all the illustrious citizens of Castries and in general of Saint Lucia to visit the ship.

Persons can also appreciate the docking maneuver in the vicinity of the pier, in order to see the deployment of the crew on their masts.

The Gloria ship is recognized as the Ambassador of Columbia in the world’s seas, as well as the flagship of the Navy of Columbia.

On board can train students of the Naval Officers School, in seamanship and astronomical navigation, as well as gain experience in navigation and guards in the sea.

Therefore, the Embassy of Columbia cordially invite the people of Saint Lucia to watch the docking of the sailboat and schedule your visit according to the times indicated.
